Virginian Pilot Wednesday Feb. 13, 1985

Goldie Miller Shafer, 93, of 1348 Cornwall Place, a native of Norfolk, died 
Monday in a hospital.
Mrs. Shafer was a charter member of Larchmont United Methodist Church and the 
Larchmont Methodist Guild. She was a member of the missionary society.
Survivors include her husband, Woolsey Bruce Shafer Jr.; and a niece Helen 
Elizabeth Miller of Norfolk.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cedar Grove 
Cemetery by the Revs. Roy Smith and Ted Bashford. H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, Norfolk, is in charge.
Memorial donations may be sent to Hope Haven Children’s Home or the American 
Kidney Foundation.
