A native of Beirut, Lebanon, he lived here most of his life. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He was the son of Anthony and Mrs. Elizabeth Hallal Shaloup. He is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Julia Hatem, of Paterson, N.J., Mrs. Amelia Sheha of Pottstown, Pa., Mrs. Mary Wintergrass of Douglassville, Pa. and Mrs. Nellie Brown and Mrs. Jennie King of Norfolk and a brother, John Shalhoup of Norfolk. The body was taken to H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. The family will be at 1665 Condor Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to Lions Club Aid to the Blind. ************************************************************************** SHALHOUP, MIKE – In a Norfolk hospital, Saturday evening, MIKE SHALHOUP, son of Anthony and Mrs. Elizabeth Hallal Shalhoup, in the 79th year of his age. Rosary services in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, tonight at 7:30 p.m. A requiem mass will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Catholic church Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Lions Club Aid to the Blind.
