Norfolk - Florence L. Shamblin, the wife of James H. Shamblin of 1053 
Kittrell St., died Monday, December 12 in a hospital.

A native of Norfolk County, she was the daughter of Sarah P. Moore Crafton.  
She was a member of Oakwood Chapel and its usher board.

Survivors include a daughter, Vandora Myrick of Baltimore;  a brother, 
Colombus Palin of New York;  and three grandchildren.

A funeral service was held December 15 in Oakwood Chapel by Rv. C. M. White 
Jr.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.  Hale Funeral Home had charge.
