O. B. Burson. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Hale Funeral Home had charge. A native of Mecklenburg County, he was a son of Andrew Shambry and Mrs. Erna L. Shambry and the husband of Mrs. Nettie Shambry. He was a retired employee of Norfolk and Western Railway and a self-employed fuel-wood salesman. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point. Besides his widow, surviving are three sons, Ashley Shambry Jr., Roland Shambry and Edward Shambry, three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Avery, Mrs. Maxine Scott and a sister, Mrs. Lena Drummond, all of Norfolk; 20 grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
