Hannah Shanahan, 88, of the 1100 block of E. Balview Ave., died Sept. 27, 1990, in 
a hospital.

Mrs. Shanahan, a native of Kerry, Ireland, was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic 
Church and was the widow of Jerry Shanahan.

Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Culpepper and Katherine F. Shaw, both of 
Norfolk; a son, Jerry J. Shanahan, of New York City; three sisters, Bridget 
Hallissey, of New York City, Catherine Gaffney, of Clearwater, Fla., and Margaret 
Hallissey, of Boston; a brother, Patrick Foley of New York City; 14 grandchildren 
and eight great-grandchildren.

The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at noon today in Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church by the Rev. Lou Ruoff. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. 
Memorial donations may be made to the church. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements.
