Warren M. Shanks, 71, of the 9600 block of Chesapeake Blvd., died Dec. 17, 1986, 
in a hospital.
Mr. Shanks, a Norfolk native, retired from A&P. He was a member of Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Ocean View Democratic Club.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Etheridge Shanks; a sister, Mrs. J.E. 
Jennings of Orlando, Fla. and two brothers, Winston C. Shanks of Norfolk and 
Marion R. Shanks of Wilmington, Del.
The graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's 
Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. H.D. 
Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.

SHANKS, WARREN M.— In a Norfolk hospital, Wednesday, WARREN M. SHANKS, husband 
of Mrs. Thelma Etheridge Shanks and son of the late Leonard R. and Mrs. Erma 
Cavender Shanks, in the 72nd year of his age. A graveside service will be held 
today at 10:00 a.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, 
is handling arrangements.
