Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - August 18, 2012
 Bowie, MD - Madeline Arrington Sharp "Mat", 88, of the 7900 block of 
Orchard Park Way passed away on Aug. 14, 2012 in Bowie, MD. She was born on 
Sept. 17, 1923 to the late Cassie and Minnie Arrington in Scotland Neck, 
North Carolina. She graduated from North Carolina Public Schools and was a 
homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd D. Sharp ; two sons 
Richard Arrington, Sr. and Jeffery J. Blount; three brothers LeRoy 
Arrington, Curtis Arrington and Joe Robert Dickens. She leaves to cherish 
her memory three daughters Delores Richardson, Cynthia Y. Moss and Sharon 
Sharp -Harrison (Quintin); one son Herbert Arrington (Jill); 14 
grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and a host 
of relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Mon., 
Aug. 20, 2012 at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley Ave. Chapel, Norfolk, 
VA, Rev. Anthony Ferebee, presiding. Interment will be held in Calvary 
Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sun., Aug. 19, 2012 from 3-5 p.m. at 
Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley Ave. Chapel.
