Willoughby Sharp Dies of Auto Injuries Senior Partner of Sharp & McVickars, Stock Brokers, Was Struck by a Taxi Tuesday William Willoughby Sharp, senior partner of Sharp & McVickars, stock brokers at 25 Broad Street, died yesterday morning at the Harbor Hospital from injuries received when he was struck by a taxicab Tuesday evening. Mr. Sharp lived at 26 West Eleventh Street. Mr. Sharp was struck by a taxicab when east and west traffic started suddenly as he was crossing Eleventh Street on his way home. The driver was Gui Hampton of 22 Perry Street. He was born in Norfolk Va. The son of Captain William and Eliza Darragh Sharp. He had been a member of the Stock Exchange for many years, but last year had transferred his seat to his son. Funeral services will be held at 4 o’clock this afternoon at St. George’s chapel, Stuyvesant Square. Mr. Sharp is survived by his widow and four children, William Willoughby Sharp, Jr., Betty Sharp, Mrs. Gilbert Elliott and Mrs. Russell D’Oench. Among his club memberships were Calument, Knollwood, Country, Society of War of 1812 and Society of Colonial Wars. Funeral services will be held at St. George’s Chapel, Stuyvesant Square, New York, on Thursday, Oct. 28, at 4 P.M., and the interment will be at Norfolk, Va., Saturday afternoon, Oct. 30.
