Born in Dayton, Ohio, Mr. Sharpe was a retired partner of Sharpe's Motor Co. and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Norfolk. He is survived by a brother, Leo F. "Buddy" Sharpe Sr.; a nephew, Leo F. Sharpe Jr., both of Portsmouth; and nieces, Ruth Sharpe Bergin, of Alexandria, Va., and Beverly Sharpe Outlaw, of Suffolk. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. Mary's Cemetery, Norfolk, by Fr. Dwight Schraeder. Memorial donations may be made to Boy Scouts of America, Portsmouth Troop No. 219 or to the American Cancer Society. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
