He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ellen Stewart Shaw; four daughters, Mrs. H.E. Sayles, Mrs. T.J. Mattox, Mrs. I.R. Dozier and Mrs. J.C. Warren; two half brothers, Richley and David Young, both of Canada; 14 grandchildren and a great- grandchild. Mr. Shaw was a native of Ontario, Canada, and had been a resident of Norfolk for the last 46 years. He was a member of Norfolk Lodge No. 32, I.O.O.F. and had been in the employ of the Virginia Electric and Power Company as an electric operator for the last 30 years. The body will be taken from the residence, 324 Fairfax avenue, to the Hollomon- Brown Funeral Home for funeral services tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
