Virginian-Pilot  August 16, 1939
Mrs. Mary Theresa Asia Minor Sheerin, wife of Dennis Patrick Sheerin and daughter 
of the late Jesse Walter and Mrs. Bridget McGowan Minor, a native of New York and 
a resident of Norfolk 20 years, died at 12:10 o’clock yesterday morning at her 
residence, West Ocean View avenue. Besides her husband, she is survived by one 
daughter, Miss Madeleine M. Sheerin, and one son, Walter Minor Sheerin. The body 
will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, to 
Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, of which she was a member, for services 
Thursday morning at 9 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Rosary services will be held at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 8 
o’clock.
