Norfolk Virginian Pilot January 23, 1937 

 
Mrs. Virginia Ellen Sheetz, aged 82, widow of J. Frank Sheetz, died at her 
residence, 223 West Twenty-Ninth Street, yesterday morning at 9:45 o’clock 
after a long illness. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. A.S. Seeley, and a 
grandson, Clarence F. Seeley, both of Norfolk; a granddaughter, Mrs. Ernest 
Kite, of Port Norfolk, and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sheetz was a native 
of Woodstock, and had been a resident of Norfolk for 35 years, and was a member 
of the First Christian Church, Disciples.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
