A native of Mobile, AL, he was the husband of Mrs. Rosa Sheffield and a son of the late Kiaser and Mrs. George Sheffield. He worked for Roof Engineering Corp. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and a member of Union Chapel AME Church. Besides his widow, surviving are four sons, Larry Scott, Reginald Scott, Charles Scott, and James Scott, and a daughter, Miss June Scott, all of Norfolk, and two grandchildren. A funeral service was held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Union Chapel AME Church by the Rev. Clifton R. Wilson. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Service in charge.
