Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, August 26, 1992 
Ella Shell of the 1000 block of Green St., died Aug. 24, 1992, in a hospital.

Mrs. Shell was born in Sumter, S.C. She was a member of First Calvary Baptist
Church.

Survivors include her husband, Earl Shell Jr.; two daughters, Mary W. Rivers of
Norfolk and Loudellia Mendoza of Virginia Beach; a stepdaughter, Arletha Hillard
of Richmond; three brothers, Harry Hicks Jr. of Norfolk, and Danny Hicks and
William Hicks, both of Florida; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in First Calvary Baptist Church by
the Rev. J.L. White. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will
assemble at 6848 W. Tanners Creek Drive on Friday. Graves Funeral Home is
handling arrangements.
