Norfolk Virginian Pilot October 17, 1953

Mrs. Mary Etta (Grandma) Shepherd, 78, died at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 
7:30 p.m.  She was a native of Isle of Wight County and a resident of Norfolk 
for 50 years, residing with Mrs. Eva. E. Greenwell, of 173 D View Street.  She 
is survived by two nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
