NORFOLK - Wayne Jerome "Shep" Shepherd, 47, of the 700 block of W. 36th St., 
died March 25, 2008. Born in Norfolk, he attended Maury High School and worked 
several years at Newport News Shipyard and Norshipco. Survivors include his 
mother, Jean Shepherd Waters and stepfather, John Waters; a sister, Jean 
Shepherd; two brothers, Haywood R. Shepherd and Ronald E. Shepherd; uncle, 
Melvin McCray (Lettie); three nieces, Shenita A. Cooper, Katrina Shepherd and 
Kristen Shepherd; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased 
by his father, Haywood John Shepherd.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Mark RZUA Church, 1513 
Colonial Ave., Norfolk, with the Rev. Dr. Alvin B. Thomas. Burial will be in 
Calvary Cemetery. Graves Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
