South Norfolk - Robert Shepherd, 62, of 1537 Atlantic Avenue died Sunday 
afternoon in a Norfolk hospital after a long illness.

A native of Wilmington, NC, he lived in Norfolk 43 years and was employed by 
Norfolk Southern Railroad for 41 years.

Surviving is his widow, Mrs. Mamie Shepherd.

The body was taken to Morning Glory Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be conducted in First Baptist Church Thursday at 1:30 
p.m. by the Rev. Henry Long, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
