He was a native of Princess Anne County, son of the late Edward Feild Shepherd and Mrs. Rosa Lane Shepherd. At the time of his death, he was plant supervisor for the district office of the telephone company and was associated with the motor vehicle and special investigation department. He served as a member of the Board of the Monument Methodist Church in Richmond and was treasurer of the Sunday School. He was a member also of the Lodge of Strict Observance, No. 207 A.F. and A.M., and of Elizabeth Camp, Woodmen of the World. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Virginia Simpson Shepherd, and several nieces and nephews. His body is resting at the Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home, in Richmond, pending funeral services tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Monument Methodist church. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk.
