Virginian Pilot February 16, 1904 

The funeral of Campie Shepherd, only child of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Shepherd, aged 
2 years, whose death occurred in Buford, Col., the 6th instant, was held from the 
residence of Dr. L. C. Shepherd, No. 454 Freemason Street, Sunday afternoon at 3 
o'clock. The service was conducted by Rev. B.D. Tucker, of St. Paul's Episcopal 
Church. The floral tributes were very handsome. The interment was in Elmwood 
Cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Samuel Watts, Edward Maupin, William 
Land and Cornick Woodhouse.
