Dr. S.A. Sheppard, E. Shore Dentist

NORFOLK - Dr. Sauel A. Sheppard of 826 Lexington St., retired dentist of the 
Eastern Shore of Virginia, died Friday in a hospital.

A native of Portsmouth, he was a dentist for 50 years and retired. A graduate of 
Hampton Institute, he also received a graduate degree from Howard university, 
Washington. He was an Episcopalian.

Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Walter Brown of Hampton, and Miss Calista 
Sheppard, Mrs. E.T. Wilhoite, and Mrs. U.S. Colding of Norfolk.

A funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in graves Funeral Chapel by the Rev. 
Joseph Green. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family suggests that 
memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Fund of Aid to the Blind. The body 
will be in church at 10 a.m. Monday.
