Norfolk Virginian Pilot Sunday May 9, 1943
George Bowden Sheppard, aged 67, husband of Mrs. Rose Pick Sheppard, died at 
a Hampton hos- ** o'clock. Besides his wife, he is survived by a sister, 
Mrs. Louise Stubbs, of Macon, Ga., and a number of relatives in Virginia and 
North Carolina. Mr. Sheppard was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, 
and was a Spanish-American War veteran.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home this 
afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
