Virginian Pilot August 16, 1974

Mrs. Theresa Callahan Sherry, 84, of 801 Graydon Ave., the widow of William H. 
Sherry, died Thursday in a hospital.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, she was a retired credit reporter with the 
Retail Merchants Association 25 years.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Senior Citizens and Credit 
Woman's Breakfast Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Virginia S. Peacock and Mrs. Samuel M. 
Stoakley and a son, John P. Sherry, all of Norfolk; eight grandchildren; and 10 
great-grandchildren.
The Office of the Dead will be said tonight at 7:30 in H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.

SHERRY, MRS. THERESA CALLAHAN — In a local hospital, Thursday, MRS. THERESA 
CALLAHAN SHERRY, widow of William H. Sherry and daughter of the late Thomas J. 
and Mrs. Elizabeth Furlong Callahan, in the 84th year of her age. The body will 
be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, to Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church for a requiem mass to be celebrated Saturday at 11 o'clock. Burial, St. 
Mary's Cemetery.
