Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, February 26, 1991
Ruth B. Shields of the 3300 block of Argonne Ave., died Feb. 21, 1991, in a 
hospital. 

Mrs. Shields, a Norfolk native, was the widow of George Shields. She was a 
member and eldress of First United Presbyterian Church and a member of the 
Phyllis Wheatley Chapter of United Order of Tents. 

Survivors include two sisters, Cecelia LaGoosley of Monessen, Pa., and Doris 
Charity of Norfolk. 

The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Calvary Cemetery by 
the Rev. Otis Wynn. Family and friends will assemble at 12:30 p.m. in the 
cemetery. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
