Virginian-Pilot  June 21, 1898
The funeral of Mrs. Winifred C., wife of Mr. Frank Shields, of 579 East Main 
street, whose death has been announced, took place from St. Mary's Catholic Church 
yesterday morning at 9:30, requiem mass being celebrated by Rev. Father Frioli. 
The interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, and the pallbearers were Messrs. M. 
McKevitt, William Hart, William Hannan, P. McGhee, Edward Hart, P. Hart, Thomas 
Fitzgibbons and Thomas Murray.
