Virginian-Pilot, January 30, 1958
NORFOLK - Julius Shipowitz, 50, husband of Mrs. Sarah Klaff Shipowitz, a native 
of Kiev, Russia, and a resident of Norfolk the last 42 years, died yesterday at 
10 p.m. at the residence. 1127 Graydon Ave., after a short illness.
He was a member of Beth El Temple and B'rith Sholom Center. He operated 
Stanley's Delicatessen, 301 Duncan Ave.
Besides his wife, surviving are a son, Stanley Z. Shipowitz of Washington, and 
a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Tucker of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 3:30 p.m. at the H. D. Oliver 
Funeral Apts by Rabbi Paul Reich, D.D., of Beth El Temple. Burial will be in 
B'Nai Israel Cemetery.
