Virginian Pilot November 3, 1910

Romie C. Shipp died at his home in Coleman Place at 5:30 o'clock yesterday 
morning in the 25th year of his age.  The deceased is survived by a widow, 
one child and a brother.
Funeral services over the late Romie C. Shipp will be held at Spurgeon 
Memorial Church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Rev. J.A. Jenkins will 
conduct the service.

The funeral of Romie C. Shipp, whose death occurred at his home in Coleman 
Place Wednesday was held from the Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church at 2 
o'clock yesterday afternoon and was largely attended.  The service was 
conducted by the pastor, Rev. C.A. Jenkins.  The interment was in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
Following were the pallbearers:  J.C. Spaulding, J.T. Lawrence, F.L. Wilson 
and P.B. Warren.
