He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, the son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Mrs. Keturah Griffeth Fentress Shipp and the husband of Mrs. Maude Virginia Morris Shipp. Surviving him is a daughter, Mrs. C.G. Luhring and one sister, Mrs. J.S. Woodhouse, both of Norfolk, two grandchildren, Miss Charlotte Anne Luhring and Miss Jeanne Audry Luhring and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and Lafayette Presbyterian Church. The body will be taken from the Sykes Funeral Home to the residence this morning where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
