Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark April 16, 1935

William Vernon Shipp, aged 56, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon 
at 2:15 o'clock.  He was the son of Mrs. Ella F. Shipp and the late William 
A. Shipp.  He was born in Norfolk and had lived here all his life.
Besides his mother, Mr. Shipp is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Curran 
Shipp; a sister, Mrs. J. Clarence Davis and three brothers, Albert M. Ship 
and Henry H. Shipp, of Norfolk and Leonard C. Shipp of Philadelphia.
Funeral services will be conducted at the James V. Derry Funeral Home, 346 
West Princess Anne Road, tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by the Rev. M.F. 
Draper, pastor of McKendree Methodist Church.  Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
