Shipp, died at her home on Pembroke Avenue yesterday at 12:45 following a lingering illness. Mrs. Shipp, a native of Princess Anne, has resided in Norfolk 55 years in which time she has been well known and much beloved. She was a consistent member of Saint Paul's Church. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Eleanor S. Johnson, of Farmville, Va.; Mrs. W.D. Hemingway and Miss Lucille Shipp, of this city; six grandchildren, Mrs. T.A. Bain, Mrs. C.G. Richardson, Miss Elizabeth Hemingway, William R. Hemingway, Mrs. M.L. Davis, Jr. and Miss Josephine Johnson, as well as by her sister, Mrs. J.W. Crosby, of New London, Conn. The funeral will take place Wednesday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. H.H. Covington, D.D., rector of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church. Interment will be held privately in Elmwood Cemetery.
