Norfolk Virginian Pilot September 5, 1941

Miss Irene Augusta Shipp, aged 65, died at the home of her niece at 2538 
Vincent Avenue, Norfolk, yesterday morning at 10:35 o'clock after an illness 
of six months. She was a native of Norfolk and resided here all her life.  She 
was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Mrs. Keturah Griffith 
Shipp, and is survived by one sister, Mrs. J.S. Woodhouse and one brother, 
Benjamin Oliver Shipp, of Norfolk and several nieces and nephews.  She was a 
member of Christadelphian Church, Chesterfield Heights.  Funeral services will 
be held at the church tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
