Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, November 27, 1999 
Kaye Hunt Shuford, 56, of Colonial Way, died Nov. 23, 1999, at Sentara Norfolk
General Hospital.

Born in Princess Anne County, she was an intake officer for the Chesapeake
Department of Social Services for 17 years. She was a member of United House of
Prayer for All People, Virginia Beach, and its Senior Queen's Board. She was a
majorette of the Norfolk State University Alumni Marching Band.

She is survived by her fiance, Charles Ridley Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Fred
E. Shuford Jr. and Veronica P. Shuford; a sister, Faye H. Payton of Chesapeake;
her grandmother, Crittie Hunt of Philadelphia, Pa.; a grandchild, Fred E.
Shuford III; an aunt, Rachel E. Ward; uncles, Obediah Riddick Jr., Wilbert L.
Riddick Sr., all of Chesapeake; a nephew, Ellery K. Payton of Springdale, Md.;
and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents,
Robert and Gladys R. Hunt.

A funeral will be held at noon today at United House of Prayer for All People,
Virginia Beach, by Apostle C. Sutton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery ,
Norfolk. The family will assemble at 11 a.m. today at 2112 Burnside Place,
Chesapeake. Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
