Norfolk Virginian Pilot Saturday June 10, 1950
Charles Thomas Shumadine, 88, died in a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 4:45 p.m. 
after a short illness.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk and was a retired truck farmer.  
His wife, Mrs. Nonie Jordon Shumadine, died four years ago.  He was a charter 
member of Larchmont Methodist Church, a member of the board of stewards and was 
treasurer of the church for a number of years.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Ella D. Vanderberry, of Norfolk and one 
brother, A.J. Shumadine, Princess Anne County.
The body will be taken from the James V. Derry Funeral Chapel to Larchmont 
Methodist Church Sunday for funeral services at 3:30 p.m.  Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
