Shumadine, 82, Dairy Proprietor, Dies Albert Jackson Shumadine, 82, of Route 4, Princess Anne County, died at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 7:45 p.m. following an illness of 18 months. He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk and vicinity. Mr. Shumadine was the proprietor of the Shumadine Dairy. He was the widower of Mrs. Florence Styron Shumadine and son of the late Francis Backus and Mrs. Elizabeth Wood Shumadine. He was a member of the Oaklette Methodist Church and of the board of directors of the Merchants and Planters Bank. Surviving him are six daughters, Mrs. Armstrong Chinn, of St. Louis; Mrs. James H. Aydlett, of Norfolk; Mrs. Savoy Chinn, of Miami, Fla.; Mrs. Claude Rountrey, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; Mrs. Halstead Rountrey, of Norfolk County and Mrs. Stuart Brinkley, of Princess Anne County; three sons, A.J. Shumadine, Jr., of Casablanca, French Morocco; Conrad Shumadine, of Norfolk County and William F. Shumadine, of Princess Anne County; a sister, Mrs. Ella D. Vanderberry, of Norfolk; 11 grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home tomorrow at 4 p.m. by the Rev. Emmett S. Gowin, pastor of Oaklette Methodist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
