Mr. Shumadine, who was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, was the son of the late Francis B. and Mrs. Elizabeth W. Shumadine. He was a member of LeKies Methodist Church and for more than 50 years had been in the grocery business in Atlantic City. He is survived by one son, James Oliver Shumadine; one daughter, Miss Beulah Shumadine, two sisters, Mrs. Vanderberry and Miss Mary Shumadine; three brothers, A.J., W.J. and C.T. Shumadine and a number of nieces and nephews. The body will be taken from the James V. Derry Funeral Home 346 West Princess Anne Road, to LeKies Methodist Church for funeral services this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev.I. Oakey Wilburn, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. J. Allen Carter, pastor of Zion Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
