The Norfolk Virginian, December 14, 1897

Rev. Dr. H.E. Johnson, conducted the funeral of Mr. William S. Sibley, which 
took place from Cumberland Street M.E. Church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The 
interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, the remains being followed to the grave by 
a large number of friends, including Norfolk Lodge No. 32 I.O.O.F. and 
Wyandotte Tribe No. 42, I.O.R.M.
