Mrs. Fannie Silver, 61, of [], died yesterday morning at 12:35 o'clock at a 
local hospital after an illness of one year.

Mrs. Silver was a native of Russia and had made her residence in Norfolk for 
the past 42 years.

She was a daughter of Mrs. Rosa Zedd and the late David Zedd, and the wife of 
Hyman Silver. 

In addition to her mother and husband, Mrs. Silver is survived by six sons, 
Ralph, Bennie and Phillip, all of Norfolk; David of Richmond, Samuel of New 
York City, and Sidney Silver of Detroit; four sisters, Mrs. Rosa Goldsticker, 
Mrs. Mollie Weinstein, and Mrs. Beckie Batleman, all of Norfolk, and Mrs. Lena 
Cohen, of Richmond; three brothers, Sam, Harry and Joe Zedd, all of Norfolk; 
five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the residence today at 11 a.m. Interment will 
be in the Jewish Cemetery.

Note: Obituary states that she was 61 years old making year of birth 1879. 
Grave marker indicates year of birth was 1872 which would mean that she died 
at age 65.
