NORFOLK - Hyman Silver, 79, son of Mr. and Mrs. Beryl Silver died yesterday at 
3:40 a.m. at a Norfolk nursing home.

Mr. Silver, retired merchant, had been a resident of Norfolk for more than 50 
years, residing at [] Brandon Ave. at the time of his death. He was a member 
of Mikro Kodesh Congregation.

Surviving him are five sons, Samuel Silver, Ben Silver, [and Phillip Silver] 
of Norfolk, Dave Silver, of Richmond, and Sidney Silver, of Detroit, Mich., 17 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments today at 
noon by Rabbi Joseph Schecter, of the United Orthodox Synagogue.

Burial will be in Mikro Kodesh Cemetery.
