Virginian-Pilot, 1-24-1923
Miss Lillian Ray Silver, 18 years of age, shot herself through the abdomen 
Monday night at 11:40 o'clock and died 20 minutes later. The fatal shot was 
fired at the home of her parents, Herman and Mrs. Fannie Silver.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by the following brothers, Ralph, 
Samuel, David, Sidney, Benjamin, and Phillip Silver.

The funeral was conducted at the residence at 10:30 o'clock on Wednesday 
morning and burial was at the Hebrew cemetery in Berkley avenue extended.
