Ralph died suddenly at 9:30 p.m. at his residence. A native of London, 
England, he had resided in this area for 48 years.

He was a son of Hyman Silver and the late Mrs. Fannie Zedd Silver.

He was a retired groceryman, having operated a store for many years on East 
Olney Road, Norfolk.

Besides his father, surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gussie Mendelson; one son, 
Irving Silver; two daughters, Shirley Silver and Joyce Silver, all of Norfolk; 
five brothers, Sam Silver and Philip Silver, also of Norfolk; Dave Silver, of 
Richmond, and Sidney Silver, of Detorit(sic), Mich.

He was a member of Mikro Kodesh Synagogue, Berkley. The body was removed to 
the Sykes Funeral Home, Berkley, where funeral services will be conducted 
tomorrow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Jewish Cemetery, Berkley Avenue, 
Extended
