Patrick Silver, 79 years old, died Monday night at the Lawford hospital, to which 
he was taken several days ago for treatment.

Mr. Silver was a native of Portland, Me., where several sons and daughters survive 
him.

In his younger days, Mr. Silver took an interest in politics in his native State, 
as a Democrat, and identified himself with the Straightout movement in Norfolk 
county when he came here more than fifteen years ago.

Mr. Silver made many warm friends, who were attentive to him during his illness, 
which lasted more than a year. During the last several years, he occupied a 
cottage	at the foot of Craig street.

The body was placed in charge of Funeral Director H. D. Oliver until the arrival 
of his son on Thursday.
