Sadye Yavner Silverman , 80, of the 900 block of Armfield Circle, died July 2, 
1993, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mrs. Silverman was a native of South Norfolk, Virginia. She retired from Barr 
Brother's Jewelers after 40 years of service. She was a member of Temple 
Israel in Norfolk and B'Nai Brith.

Survivors include a sister, Shirley Berlin and her husband Phillip, both of 
Norfolk; four brothers, Stanley Yavner, Jerome Yavner and his wife Sonya, 
Alvin Yavner and Berry Yavner, all of Norfolk; six nieces; three nephews; and 
several great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Mikro Kodesh 
Cemetery, Berkley Avenue, South Norfolk, by Rabbi Samuel Sobel and Cantor 
Isaac Danker. Memorial donations may be made to Jewish Family Services or the 
charity of the donor's choice. The family will be at 512 Roland Drive, 
Norfolk, following the funeral service. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
