Norfolk - Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Simmons of 1704 E. Olney road, who 
died Oct. 31 in her home will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Mt. Lebanon 
Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral 
Home in charge.

A native of Jones County, NC, she was a daughter of Myers and Mrs. Mary Taylor 
and the wife of Calvin Simmons.  She was a member of the Pioneer Club at Mt. 
Lebanon Baptist Church.

Surviving, besides her husband, are four brothers, Eddie B. Taylor of Norfolk, 
Leon Taylor and Lubbie Taylor of New York and James Taylor of New Bern, NC, and 
two sisters, Mrs. Laura Simmons of Brooklyn and Mrs. Mary Jordan of New Bern.
