SIMMONS --At her residence, No. 74 Walnut street, corner Maple avenue, MARTHA 
ELLEN, beloved wife of George A. Simmons, aged 53 years, 1 month and 14 days.
Funeral will take place TOMORROW (Thursday) AFTERNOON at 5 o'clock.  Friends of 
the family invited to attend.

The funeral of Mrs. Martha E. Simmons, wife of G.A. Simmons, will take place in 
the home on Walnut street, Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock.
She had been ill for about ten months and died yesterday morning, aged 53 years.  
Mrs. Simmons was born in Baltimore and was married in Hampstead, Md., and had 
resided here for twenty-three years.  She was a consistent member of Memorial 
M.E. Church.  Her husband and three children, Miss Ida Simmons, J.W. Simmons and 
Albert Simmons survive her.
Rev. C.L. Bane, pastor of Memorial M.E. Church, assisted by Rev. A. J. Ramsey, 
pastor of the Gospel Church, will officiate at the funeral services.  Interment 
will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley ward.
The pallbearers will be as follows: D.V. Gaskins, W.L. Berkley, N.S. Smith, J.M. 
Gibbs, H.I. Wicks, Wilson Beale, Eugene Colver, W.E. Kline and J.H. Pease.
