Norfolk Virginian December 22 1890
Funeral for Mrs. Simmons
 
The funeral for the late Mrs. Martha Simmons took place yesterday afternoon at 
3 o’clock from her late residence on Freemason Street. The funeral services 
were conducted by Rev.  A.  S.  Lloyd of St Luke’s P. E. Church, and Rev. B. 
D. Tucker of St. Paul’s P. E. Church. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. 
Col. L. D. Stark, Major A. Y. Myers, and Messers, T. K. Bell, Jas. Y. Leigh,  
John R. Todd,  George Todd, B. A. Marsden and C. A. Santos were pallbearers.
