William B. and Mrs. Laura Davenport Brickhouse, died in a Pleasant Hill, Calif., hospital Sunday. A native of Washington County, N.C., she lived here 60 years with a daughter, Mrs. B.H. Dowe of 3708 Latimer Circle. She was a Methodist. Besides Mrs. Dowe, she is survived by a son, Phillip J. Simmons of Lafayette, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Joe Burton of Baltimore; 10 grandchildren; 37 great- grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. The cremains will be taken from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to Elmwood Cemetery for a funeral service Friday at 2:30 p.m. to be conducted by the Rev. Wallace A.
