Details of his death have not been ascertained here, but it is understood that he fell from a bridge on which he was working and lost his life in the river beneath. Young Simmons was 22 years old and was the son of Mrs. Martha Brickhouse Simmons and the late J.D. Simmons. He was a native of Norfolk and had lived here all his life until he went to Chester recently to accept a position with a bridge construction concern. He is survived by his mother, who lives here; three brothers, D.M. Simmons, of Chicago; N.W. Simmons, who is now in Europe and P.J. Simmons, of Norfolk and one sister, Mrs. Lillian Dowe, of Little Bay. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne Road. The Rev. L.T. Hitt, of Ocean View Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
