Final rites were held Thursday at Jones Funeral Home for Willie Lee Simmons, 48,
of 606 Pollard street, who died at a Norfolk hospital on April 8, by the Rev. H.
T. Myers of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Simmons was a native of Kinston, NC. He was the son of Mrs. Ruth P. Simmons
and the late Willie L Simmons Sr. In addition to his mother, his survivors
include three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Baker, Mrs. Elsie Robinson and Mrs. Ruth
Santos; and four brothers, Benjamin, Raymond, Charlie and James Simmons.

Mr. Simmons was a Norfolk resident 47 years. He was employed by High's Ice Cream
Company for seven years.
