Elijah Simmons, 31, of 1289 Chicazola street, was given final rites on Thursday
at the Hale Funeral Chapel, and was buried in Calvary Cemetery.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Salmon Simmons and husband of Mrs. Beulah
Simmons. Survivors include two daughters, Laura Mae and Beatrice Simmons; six
sisters, Mrs. Hazel Duke and Mrs. Ida Holloway of New York, Mrs. Ada McWilliams,
and Misses Clara and Hilda Simmons; and Mrs. Bertha Riddick; and five brothers,
Anderson, Ollie, Robert, George and William Simmons of Norfolk.
