Jamaica, NY - Charles Simmons died July 24 in his home.

A native of Mount Olive, NC, he was the husband of Mrs. Lillian Simmons and a
son of the late Allen and Mrs. Sarah Simmons.

He was a private chauffeur many years.

Besides his widow, surviving are a sister, Mrs. Daisy Watkins of Norfolk, and
three nieces, Mrs. Estelle W. Hale of Norfolk and Mrs. Hattie Wentworth and Mrs.
Henrietta Donaldson of Jamaica.

The body was sent to Hale Funeral Home, Norfolk, where funeral services were
held July 29 by the Rev. F. P. Wise. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
