A. Clark Simmons, 68, of 734 Maury Place, an employee of the Sheridan Transportation Company, of Philadelphia, died yesterday at 9:10 a.m. in a Norfolk hospital. A native of Currituck County, N.C., he had been a resident of this section since 1907. He was a son of George W. and Mrs. Ida Midgett Simmons. He was a member of the Masters, Mates, and Pilots Association. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Ayers Simmons; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Midgett, Mrs. Sue Hobeck and Mrs. Belle Crosby and one brother, Albert Simmons, all of Norfolk; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments by the Rev. Beverly Tucker White, rector of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
